Tree Tent parco San Grato

Guests spend the night in an exclusive tent suspended between the trees in the middle of one of Switzerland’s most beautiful parks, the famous Parco San Grato in Carona.

The tent is hung in a larch grove, surrounded by hundreds of flowering plants and unique conifers. Overnighting in the Tree Tent offers a clear view of the starry skies, surrounded by unique parkland. The tent is located in a quiet area of the park that is still easily accessible, with a footpath leading right past it. For the duration of the stay, guests enjoy exclusive use of a room with private bath/shower in the Hotel Villa Carona, where they can also store their luggage.

The tent

The tent is located in a larch grove in the middle of wonderful parkland. The park’s public toilet and washing facilities are located 70 metres from the site of the tent. The tent has no electricity, heating or WiFi. However, these facilities are all available at your alternative accommodation, your room at the Hotel Villa Carona. On check-in, guests are given a sleeping bag and sheet, a solar torch and the Ticino Ticket, providing free use of all public transport.

By car

On the A2 motorway, take the “Lugano-Sud” exit for Lugano and turn off at the sign for “Carona”. After 7 kilometres you’ll reach the Villa Carona, Via Principale 53, 6914 Carona.

By public transport

Take the train to Paradiso train station, then change to PostBus 434 to Carona Paese or take the train to Lugano main station, then the funicular to the city centre and PostBus 434 at Piazza Rezzonico to Carona Paese.
