Lugano e-MTB Tour – Stage 1: Ponte Tresa – Miglieglia

Welcome to Lugano! Transfer from Lugano station to Ponte Tresa on the FLP train.

On the mountain bike we proceed on paved road to Monte Mondini, then from Pura we continue through the woods along a dirt road followed by a single-track. From Curio descend to Madonna del Piano passing through some characteristic villages and vineyards. Go up to Sessa alternating dirt and paved roads through woods and pastures. We continue towards Astano along a varied route, single-trail, dirt and paved road, always in a wooded or pasture area. Between Beredin – La Costa there is the gold mine, where it is necessary to book in advance the visit. Astano offers a small lake and an intriguing centre. The road continues without great differences in height until Novaggio, where you descend and then climb up to Miglieglia, along a dirt road through woods. Miglieglia is a very characteristic village from which the cable car leaves to Monte Lema, which offers an all-round view as far as Italy and the Valais mountain range, not to be missed!
