The second exhibition in the annual cycle by the Associazione Amici dell'Atelier Calcografico (AAAC) of Novazzano in the Porticato della Biblioteca Salita dei Frati in Lugano is dedicated to Italian artist Gianna Bentivenga who was born in Stigliano (Matera) in 1975. Internationally known and appreciated in the field of art printing, Gianna Bentivenga combines her artistic research with being a university lecturer. This exhibition presents a series of recent large and medium-format graphic works, which are part of a cycle entitled ‘Anamorfica’, which lends its name to the exhibition. These works are the result of research aimed at investigating the state of things, their change and transformation over a sometimes dilated and unmeasurable period of time. The selection of works on display also includes, as always the case, an engraving printed in the Chalcographic Atelier of Novazzano by Gianstefano and Francesco Galli for the members of the Association.
