The 2021-2022 musical season organised by the Parish of S. Maria degli Angioli and the Diocese of Lugano, with the support of the Associazione Bernardino Luini, opens at the beginning of September.
The season offers the City an intense and high-level musical activity, with over one hundred musical moments, distributed between the months of September 2021 and June 2022. The programme is divided into six parts: Organ Vespers, the season of Spiritual Concerts, animated by soloists of international level and by the professors of the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, the complete Sonatas for cello and basso continuo published by Antonio Vivaldi in Paris in 1740, with Felix Vogelsang as protagonist, the complete organ works by César Franck, on the 200th anniversary of his birth, the Choral Marathon and Behind the Score, a series of listening guides on the programmes of the Spiritual Concerts.
With the new season, the events will no longer be held only in the churches of S. Maria degli Angioli and S. Maria di Loreto, as usual, but will also involve Lugano Cathedral and, for the Choral Marathon, the churches of S. Rocco, S. Antonio and S. Carlo.
