Promoted by the Municipality of Morcote in collaboration with Rockdream, the exhibition "The Long Road of Rock, 40 years of rock memorabilia" will be exhibited in Morcote, one of the most beautiful and rock villages in Switzerland.
Over 200 memorabilia and memories of two young Ticino dreamers collected in 40 years of concerts and travels around the world will tell the most important stages in the history of Rock, describing what Rock has been and will continue to be within our society : from The Beatles to Jimi Hendrix, from Elvis Presley to Guns n 'Roses, from David Bowie to lggy Pop up to Queen and much more.
The exhibition will have as its soundtrack the music of no less than 4 jukeboxes from the 1950s arrived directly from internal Switzerland as well as the rock of Radio Morcote International, Switzerland's Best Rock Station.
The inauguration will be held on Sunday 31st of July 2022 and the exhibition will remain open from the 4th of August to the 21st of August.
The Long Road of Rock is part of the "Summer in Morcote 2022" event review, a rich program of cultural and music initiatives, all available on the website www.visitmorcote.ch, and which this year focused on rock music.
The concert “Get Back to Morcote. from the roof of London to the roof of Morcote ", the photographic exhibition" Frontstage, portraits on stage "by Massimo Rana" and "The Long Road of Rock" by Rockdream, are just the first three exclusive events organized in the village thanks to the collaboration with Grant Benson, international speaker, DJ of the most famous pirate radio in history, Radio Caroline and co-founder of Radio Morcote International, Switzerland's Best Rock station.
