Immortalia - Beyond Man, featuring Ettore Chiummo and Michele Rezzonico, explores that complex relationship that binds man to technology. Chiummo and Rezzonico do so with their trademark wit and sensitivity.
Dr. Victor Brigitte and his assistant are secretly working on the creation of a revolutionary machine capable of transferring the Internet directly into the human body. The big day when the machine will be tested on human beings is approaching. What will be the fate of this experiment? Will Dr. Brigitte succeed in his intent to transform man into the much-desired Superman, in this great evolutionary race to become the Homo Deus he has always dreamed of? Or will the result be an inconceivable monstrosity?
The show revisits the Frankenstein myth from a modern perspective, addressing the now archetypal theme of delirium progressis, or: what are we willing to sacrifice for progress?
Followed by an open dialogue with the performers and a chance to dine on the spot with a risotto.
