L'ideatorio
L’ideatorio of the Università della Svizzera Italiana is place to meet science while experimenting and having fun.
The center - open Saturday and Sunday afternoons - offers interactive scientific exhibitions, a planetarium with different screenings, and the IDEA spaces: four rooms to value time, thinking and sharing where interactive workshops are offered and where games, books but also a coffee and meeting space are provided.
L’ideatorio is a place of discovery, where you can play and reflect. In our center in Cadro, visitors will meet science and its protagonists in interactive exhibitions and workshops or experience the beauty of the cosmos under the dome of a modern planetarium. But L’ideatorio proposes also live performances, scientific holidays for kids, courses for adults and projects in collaboration with schools. Numerous offers for children and grown-ups, with a single common denominator: curiosity. Equipped with fantasy, you will travel through galaxies and nebulae, explore the world through its scents, have fun playing with robots and test the limits of your brain…to grasp, as Einstein said, that feeling that distinguishes every human experience: the mystery.
We believe that this way it is possible to build a necessary bridge between knowledge and experience, between tales and life, between science and society.
