The MASI Lugano born by the merging between the Museo Cantonale d’Arte and the Museo d’Arte. In LAC the exhibitions focus on modern and contemporary art.
A remarkable building with a Renaissance facade. Inside there are many frescoes and valuable Baroque decorations.
The Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli is the most important church of Lugano. It contains the famous Renaissance fresco of the Passion and the Crucifixion by the Italian artist Bernardino Luini.
With its many bistros and restaurants, Piazza della Riforma is the city’s main place of encounter.
A short walk from the lively center of Lugano lies the Parco Ciani, a destination for many tourists who come there to admire what is considered one of the most beautiful Swiss parks.
Belvedere garden is 11.000 sq.m of sheer delight in the heart of the frenzied city, offering the visitor an oasis of peace and beauty.
To the West of Piazza Dante and Piazza Cioccaro lies Lugano’s hill. A small altitude difference separates the railroad station from the city centre.
