Scollinando

11 municipalities on the north hill of Lugano have been collaborating since 2009 in the “Scollinando” project, which results in the annual public event. In 2017 they also launched a project to enhance and promote pleasant (cycle-)pedestrian walks between and within the municipalities. A wide and varied network of interconnected circular routes has been identified and marked out with permanent signposting. The routes described here are just a few proposals that can be customised; the sections to be covered can be chosen based on ability and interest.

The elements of naturalistic, landscape and cultural interest are countless; the richness of the region stands out in every location. Strolling around, you will find corners of pristine nature and characteristic villages, as well as, for example, biotopes, secular plants, chapels, frescoes, monuments, historical buildings, narrow streets and arches. From several points you can also enjoy a magnificent view of the lake or the surrounding mountains.
