The shorter trail takes the hiker in the direction of Motto della Croce, the easy going and panoramic road (mostly unsurfaced), thus allowing him to avoid the 216 altitude difference between the mountain hut and Mount Bar.

Enchanting path surrounded by nature with extraordinary panorama!
The characteristic village of Brè, whose mount dominates Lugano, is the starting point of this excursion and its spectacular view is the first of many that we'll be encountering.
In comparison to the original itinerary, the shortest one skirts around the most scenic point of this leg: Mount Boglia.
The first part of the excursion leads you to Cima di Fojorina, passing through fascinating limestone landscapes, with a vegetation that is so particular that it is well worth seeing it for yourself.
This itinerary is very attractive and offers you an unforgettable view over the underlying valley.
Along this trail you climb up to the top of Mount Bar to then continue towards the Motto di Croce, two amongst the most appreciated panoramic points of our region. After going through Gola di Lago, with its nationally important peat-bogs, you then proceed to Mount Bigorio, a highly diversified region, which offers a further panoramic point during our excursion.
