The entertainment venues (cinemas, theatres, museums, youth centres, sports centres, fitness centres, swimming pools, wellness centres, ski lifts, boat tours, public parks, playgrounds, dog parks, discos, piano bars, night clubs) will remain closed until further notice, as established by the decree of 11 March 2020.

Events, exhibitions, shows and entertainment activities will therefore be subject to postponement and cancellation.

Monte San Giorgio

This mountain has a truly rich inner life: rising just under 1100 m in height, the Monte San Giorgio in the sunny south of Ticino has been a Mecca for fossil scientists since the 19th century, and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2003.

The funicular

Would you like to take a walk on the Monte San Giorgio? You can just take the boat from Lugano, or move from Capolago by bus to Brusino Arsizio. You can reach Serpiano by cableway in a few minutes. From Serpiano you can discover by foot the UNESCO World Natural Heritage and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake of Lugano.

Cablecar Brusino - Sepiano Located 1km from the hotel and reachable with a walk through the woods or by car, the cable car takes just 4 minutes to reach the village of Serpiano Brusino Arsizio. There are two cabins with a capacity of 10 people each, or 3 people with their bicycles. The lower station is located a few steps from the lake and the jetty, which you can use to take boat trips across and around Lake Lugano.
ATTENTION The cable car is not in function in case of wind.

Wednesday-Sunday, from 9:15 to 17:45 It runs every 30 minutes

his mountain gained more importance after being inscribed to UNESCO in 2003. Apart from being home to fossil museum, numerous vineyards can be approached when strolling along the southern slopes of the woody mountain. Sauntering through the charming town of Meride or pampering oneself in the grottos of the Mendrisiotto region, you can be assured that you will always find something to do on Monte San Giorgio.
