Monte Brè: Lugano’s view, nature and tradition
Lugano – Monte Brè – Cureggia
From Cassarate, take the Monte Brè funicular to reach the top of the mountain and enjoy the wonderful views over the Gulf of Lugano. A short walk takes you to Brè, the quaint village with sights of historic and artistic interest. Here you can visit the Wilhelm Schmid Museum and enjoy our local cuisine. After stopping off at the playground, you can continue on foot to Cureggia.
The ideal program:
Morning
- Departure from Cassarate in funicular to the summit of Monte Brè
- Short stop on the panoramic terrace
- Walk to the centre if the village and visit to the artistic area
- Picnic at the leisure area
Afternoon
- Visit to Wilhelm Schmid Museum
- Panoramic walk to Cureggia
