Wine Pod

Wine Pod is a modern geodesic dome installed as part of the Million Stars Hotel project. The structure, unique in its kind, is located in the quiet of the vineyards to admire the stars.  Inside you will find a double bed for the overnight stay and for all services you will have access and support to the Nando Snozzi Room in the immediate vicinity. The room is about 200 meters from the main building, the Bed and Breakfast Vallombrosa.

Bed and Breakfast Vallombrosa

The Bed and Breakfast Vallombrosa is immersed in the vineyards of Tenuta Tamborini di Castelrotto (Malcantone), cradle of the "Merlot of Ticino" for over 100 years. Founded at the beginning of the '900 and completely renovated in 2004 by the Tamborini family, the hotel has rooms dedicated to some artists and painters from Ticino and Ticino by adoption, furnished with taste and charm.  The B&B offers its guests the opportunity to choose between some different types of rooms: Junior Suites, Superior rooms, Classic rooms, Rustic in the middle of the vineyard, Wine Pod and Mini apartment. In most of the rooms there is a living area equipped with kitchen and dining table, hydromassage shower and TV. Each room has a terrace or balcony with a wonderful view of the mountains. 10 minutes from Lake Lugano, Vallombrosa is also the ideal starting point for nature and sports enthusiasts (walking, mountain biking, e-biking, etc.). Inside the estate, moreover, there is an artistic-cultural path with over 20 sculptures by interesting artists. Vallombrosa offers the possibility to host events and weddings and, on request, offers tastings and visits to the vineyards.

  2. How to arrive

    By car

    On the A2/E35 motorway, take the "Lugano Nord" exit, continue on the Regina road towards Ponte Tresa. Just before customs, on the border with Italy, turn right towards Castelrotto.

    By public transport

    Arrive by train to Lugano station, then take the Lugano – Ponte Tresa Railway (last stop). Then continue with PostBus nr. 428 direction Novaggio, Posta to the Castelrotto Ospedale stop (8 stops).
