A sports and leisure infrastructure wanted to respond in particular to the need of the City's young people who love Skate, Bmx, Roller and Scooter.
Lugano was one of the first Swiss cities to implement its Skate Park. The success of this initiative is demonstrated by the large number of kids and young people who come to the Skate Parkduring their free time hours, after school, on Saturdays and Sundays.
The street area has undergone multiple renovations in recent years, and today the invitations of the ramps are gentler than the initial design. In the summer of 2022, the pools were sandblasted, repaired, and painted.
There is a small but well-stocked skateshop on site and The Joker Skate School is active year-round. More info about it at +41 91 970 11 47.
Attendance at the skate park is possible for all young people who wish to do so and is subject to compliance with the relevant regulations.
