1 October: Opening concert of the ‘OSI al LAC’ season

There is great anticipation for the opening concert of the 2026/2027 ‘OSI al LAC’ season on 1 October, featuring the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana conducted by Jérémie Rhorer. The guest artist is the renowned German cellist Maximilian Hornung, in a programme ranging from the elegance of Gabriel Fauré’s Pavane to the intensity of Dmitri Shostakovich’s Cello Concerto No. 2, concluding with Igor Stravinsky’s evocative Orpheus. A journey through light and shadow, echoes of myths and demons, where music, like Orpheus, dares to cross the abyss and bring back to the light what seemed lost.
