The 46th edition of Estival Jazz, an event that has been bringing high-quality concerts to Lugano since the 1970s. Conceived by Jacky Marti and Andreas Wyden, Estival Jazz has hosted internationally renowned musicians from the very beginning, becoming a traditional highlight for the people of Lugano, the Ticino region, and visitors from around the world. Alongside Estival, the 16th edition of the Lugano LongLake Festival (July 9–26, 2026) kicks off—one of Switzerland’s most important urban open-air festivals, featuring hundreds of events, including concerts, performances, talks, street artists, family-friendly activities, and much more.
Antonello Venditti was born in Rome on March 8, 1949, in the Trieste neighborhood, and began his musical journey in the 1970s at the Folkstudio. His first album, “Theorius Campus,” was released in 1972, recorded in the studio with Francesco De Gregori, with whom he toured Italy in 2022 and 2023 on the Venditti & De Gregori tour. He has sold nearly 40 million records. He has won awards and accolades and written unforgettable songs that remain in the memory of all Italians.
On June 19, “Daje!” will be released, the new live album featuring his greatest hits recorded live during the “Cuore – Notte prima degli esami 1984-2024 40th anniversary” and “Notte prima degli esami 40th anniversary – 2025 edition,” which over two years took him on tour throughout Italy in front of over 300,000 spectators across more than 60 dates. With this new live album, Antonello Venditti celebrates his unbreakable bond with his audience, offering a curated selection of the most iconic songs from his repertoire, from “Notte prima degli esami” to “Grazie Roma,” from “Ricordati di Me” to “Unica,” and many other generational anthems performed with the power and emotion of live performances.
Joining Antonello Venditti on stage will be Alessandro Canini (drums), Amedeo Bianchi (saxophone), Danilo Cherni (keyboards), Angelo Abate (piano and Hammond organ), and Roberta Palmigiani (violin).
