The 19th season of the Jazz Cat Club Ascona will open on Monday, 21 September at Lux in Massagno, marking a new partnership and a significant step for the Jazz Cat Club towards the Lugano region. The evening will feature Denise Gordon, the British singer of Caribbean heritage who has performed throughout her career at venues and events including Buckingham Palace, the Edinburgh Festival and for Pope John Paul II. Accompanied by The Ticino Gang, she will present a show that blends gospel, soul, jazz and the spirit of New Orleans. Joining her on stage will be a line-up of outstanding musicians: Frank Salis on Hammond organ, Francis Coletta on guitar, Marco Nevano on tenor saxophone and Jérôme Cardynaals on drums.
