On Tuesday 29 September, the 27th Seminar of the Psycho-Oncological Research Foundation will be held at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, organised in collaboration with the Triangolo Association. The event, which is open to the public and will be opened with welcoming remarks by Raffaele De Rosa, Director of the Department of Health and Social Care, and Marco Varini, an oncologist, will explore the various forms of loneliness in contemporary society: that experienced by patients, the elderly, young people and those working in the care sector.

Guests will include the writer Paolo Giordano; psychiatrists Graziano Martignoni and Diego De Leo; psychologist Serena Petrocchi; entrepreneur Riccardo Braglia; cantonal medical officer Giorgio Merlani; and psychogeriatrician Marco Trabucchi. Students from the SUPSI Bachelor’s degree programme in Nursing will also be speaking.

Registration fee: 90 francs; 20 francs for students
