The Delta Groove Band is the star of the Lugano Blues Night in March. They return to Hollywood Live Music on Friday the 20th with her captivating collection of Robert Johnson songs revisited with a modern twist, alternating with own original compositions that strive to maintain a close connection with the Mississippi Delta sound.
The result is a captivating repertoire that has attracted increasing interest and attention from major Swiss blues festivals and has led the Ticino band to be among the four finalists of the Swiss Blues Challenge. Delta Groove concerts are always an excellent opportunity to experience the important history of blues interpreted with a rock/funk twist, as are the refined original songs by the band, comprised of Oliver Frei (guitar and vocals), Gianluca Croci (guitar, slide and backing vocals), Carlo Reichlin (bass), and Matteo Frapolli (drums).
