Paesaggi Onirici – Manuel Walter

Manuel Walter’s work emerges from a long process of observing the landscape. Forests, paths, roots, lichens and natural formations become the starting point for a process in which direct experience of the land intertwines with memory, imagination and dreams.

Through engraving, printmaking and painterly interventions, the artist transforms real places into settings suspended between recognisability and metamorphosis. Botanical elements merge with symbolic figures, neural structures and visionary presences, giving rise to images that seem to emerge simultaneously from the natural world and from inner life.

In Dreamlike Landscapes, the land is not presented as something to be faithfully depicted, but rather as a space to be inhabited through the gaze and memory. The works thus invite us to explore the subtle boundary where the experience of landscape becomes an inner image, and nature becomes a mirror reflecting deeper dimensions of existence.
