Pop Up 120 Years of Merlot Ticinese

From 15 September to 1 November 2026, the Info Point at Via Magatti 6 in Lugano will host a special Pop Up dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Merlot Ticinese, created in collaboration with TicinoWine-Swiss Wine Ticino to celebrate 120 years since the planting of the first Merlot vine in the Malcantone region.

Through a specially curated exhibition, you will discover the history of this grape variety, which over the course of more than a century has become an integral part of our culture and traditions, as well as one of Ticino’s foremost ambassadors to the world.

Throughout the Pop Up period, you will have the opportunity to meet local winegrowers and producers, learn more about their work, and take part in wine tastings dedicated to the wines of the region.

We look forward to welcoming you to share moments of conviviality and raise a glass together to 120 years of history, tradition, and passion that have helped shape the food and wine heritage of our Canton.
