Predescia Stone

Now in its seventh year, we invite you to participate in the Walk to Predescia Stone.

We will be led by Athena Demenga, an expert on the area (the Brè slop above Gandria and the Sasso della Predescia), as we walk along woodland paths dotted with ancient ruins still visible among the area's wild flora. With Valentina Lokumcu, a hypnotist and handpan player, and Dina Moretti, a contemporary artist who has deeply dedicated herself to the mysteries of high places, we will experience a unique appreciation and contemplation of the richly engraved and cup-marked Sasso della Predescia, an energetic site listed as a Historic Monument protected at the cantonal level and protected by the federal law on Natural Monuments.

The harmonious coexistence of nature and anthropization, still steeped in stories and mystery, will be the focus of this new experience, featuring Stories of the Present, Inner World, Celestial Sounds, and Ritual Gestures.

The meeting point is in the space adjacent to the Church of San Giorgio in Castagnola-Lugano, at 10:00 a.m.
The tour is scheduled to conclude at 3:00 p.m. in Gandria.

Please wear suitable hiking shoes and bring your own lunch.
