Spiritual concerts at S. Maria degli Angioli 2025 – 2026

The Parish of Santa Maria degli Angioli, with the backing of the Bernardino Luini Association, offers the city an exciting season of high-quality music, with a total of 114 concerts taking place between September 2025 and June 2026.

The programme is organised in five sections: Organ Vespers; a series of Spiritual Concerts featuring internationally-acclaimed soloists and teachers from the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (OSI), and culminating in the new Progetto Bach, created in collaboration with Lugano Arte e Cultura (LAC); Tre domeniche con Vanessa Russell, the exceptionally talented viol player, bring more innovations to the Angioli repertoire; Tre domeniche con Sébastien Galley, another well-known and highly active teacher at the OSI, appearing at the Angioli with natural trumpet, cornet and modern trumpet; and finally the new choral project A Christmas Carol, also arising from the partnership between LAC and the Church of Santa Maria degli Angioli. The breadth and high quality of the programme is made possible by support from LAC and the City of Lugano. The crucial role of technical sponsor is covered by the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, which each year adds to the quantity and quality of output, in a collaboration that for years has been extremely fruitful.
