The Alpe Duragno circular route, the longest of the three, offers a panoramic and consistently engaging itinerary.
The first section, between Alpe Foppa and Alpe Duragno, follows a relatively flat path that skirts the mountain and offers a striking view of Lugano and its lake. Upon reaching Alpe Duragno, you find yourself immersed in a wonderful alpine environment surrounded by grazing cows and goats. Here you can discover how nature meets local agriculture. Afterwards, you climb the upper part of the Duragno Valley to reach Capanna Tamaro, an ideal stopover point, where the view expands towards the Sopraceneri. The descent towards Alpe Foppa follows a comfortable dirt road.
