Alpe Foppa – Alpe di Neggia

Scenic route from Alpe Foppa to Alpe di Neggia along a trail that offers two variants, immersed in spectacular nature.

You can climb to the summit of Monte Tamaro, or choose the lower variant (saving about 20 min). In any case, the view is stunning, especially over Locarno. From Alpe Foppa, the starting point for various routes and a very interesting place thanks to its activities and culture, follow the path towards Monte Tamaro (1962 m a.s.l.), where you can enjoy an incomparable 360° view of the surrounding peaks, the Alps, and the main lakes of Canton Ticino (Ceresio and Maggiore). From the summit of Monte Tamaro, descend the path that winds through numerous switchbacks on the mountain ridge towards Alpe di Neggia (1394 m a.s.l).
