Lugano Trekking – Stage 1

Departure from the characteristic village of Brè whose mountain overlooks Lugano and offers the first spectacular view of this route.

The first stage connects the village of Brè to the Pairolo hut, where it is possible to spend the night. You can reach Brè by car, bus, or funicular, then the real hiking begins. The section under the beech forests that climbs to the top of Monte Boglia is quite challenging, but the effort is rewarded by a fabulous view. Passing the extravagant rock formations of the Denti della Vecchia, you approach the Pairolo hut, a much-desired resting place.
