Grotto Morchino

Pazzallo

In Ticino, in Lugano in the Pazzallo district, a short distance from the city center, there is the Grotto Morchino, a true Ticino grotto surrounded by greenery where you can enjoy the good traditional cuisine of the area in a unique and ancient environment.

The first historical references date back to 1842, where the Olgiati family took care of the food and wine offer, all produced entirely in-house. For many years the heirs of the family have followed one another, always keeping a careful eye on the selection of products purely from the region. On 1 January 2020, with the sale of the grotto and the surrounding land by Pierluigi Olgiati to the Leo and Maria Crepaz Antonietti Foundation, the Grotto Morchino returns to its origins after an important and faithful renovation of the historic building.

The food and wine offer is proposed in the historic fireplace room (up to 30 guests), in the wine cellar (up to 16 guests) and in the adjacent terrace with the classic stone tables and the grill (up to 50 guests).

The Grotto Morchino offers classic traditional dishes with a careful eye to selecting the best products that the Ticino region has to offer.
