Grotto al Bosco

The Grotto al Bosco, which has a pretty covered terrace and a number of rooms, is a delightful oasis of peace and good food in the area near the grottos, surrounded by the greenery of the hill above Lugano. Since 1977 it has been run by the family of Antonio Ferraro, who also delights foodies at the Locanda del Boschetto in Lugano. The Grotto offers local, Italian, and Mediterranean specialities in a welcoming, rustic atmosphere. In addition to the classic Ticinese dishes, the grilled meat and fish dishes, risottos, and superb cold dishes are not to be missed and are all accompanied by a good selection of Ticinese and foreign wines.
