Monte Lema offers a natural oasis from which a network of footpaths follow the crest of the mountains, as well as mountain bike trails. It also welcomes paragliding and aeromodelling enthusiasts. There is also a restaurant-hostel, a playground and an astronomical observatory at the arrival point of the funicular.
The summit of Monte Lema is considered one of the most beautiful places in Switzerland for a paragliding flight. Flight enthusiasts arrive here from all over the world, to take advantage of the exceptional thermal conditions, which on favourable days allow them to make amazing flights at heights of over 3000 meters!
The newly renovated Restaurant at Monte Lema's peak offers typical regional dishes at a practical and functional self-service bar, that can be eaten either inside the restaurant or outside on the panoramic terrace. There are also comfortable rooms at the characteristic hostel.
