The Morcote castle – sole Middle Ages stronghold preserved in the Sottoceneri – it’s placed in the Tenuta Castello di Morcote, in the municipality of Vico Morcote. Its dominant sheer position on the lake, 400 m above Morcote’s village, confers a particular charming character.
