Starting from Lugano, the route heads to Tesserete along a flat cycle path through lush greenery.
After passing through Sala Capriasca, it descends towards Taverne, then ascends towards Rivera, following the Vedeggio River. A short climb leads to the Monte Ceneri pass, followed by a descent on the other side of the river, passing through Soresina and the Rivera recreational area. Along the way, you have the option to ascend Monte Tamaro or take a break at Splash&Spa. From Manno, the river is crossed, passing through Cadempino, then ascending towards Vezia, before concluding the route at Lugano railway station, with a stunning view of the city.
