L'ideatorio

Cadro

L’ideatorio of the Università della Svizzera italiana is a place where people can engage with science through hands-on exploration and fun. It offers activities for both adults and children, encouraging them to think, play, and discover.

The Cadro venue is open to the public on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (2:00–6:00 pm) and features:

  • An interactive exhibition on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
  • An astronomical planetarium with a variety of live-narrated shows
  • Atelier (maker space): a creative environment for experimenting and building, with activities that change regularly
  • An exploration area: a place to investigate the world through microscopes
  • Performances and readings according to the event schedule

L’ideatorio also offers cultural evenings, courses for adults, workshops, science holiday camps, and educational projects for schools, all guided by one great protagonist: curiosity.

L’ideatorio is the science communication and public engagement service of the Università della Svizzera italiana. It serves as the regional branch of Science et Cité Foundation, a competence center of the Swiss Academy of Sciences, and collaborates on selected projects with the School Institute of the City of Lugano.
