Tenuta Castello di Morcote

Tenuta Castello di Morcote extends over a vast promontory surrounded by Lake Lugano: 150 hectares of uncontaminated nature with a unique soil in Ticino consisting of pink porphyry, a rock of volcanic origin.

In the heart of the estate - in a panoramic position overlooking the lake - is located the 15th century Castle. The farm, family-run since the 1930s, cultivates its own 7 hectares of vineyards with 30% slopes in Morcote and manages another 6 hectares in the Mendrisiotto region. Viticulture is accurate, mainly manual. The vineyard is scrupulously worked in organic management, certified since 2017, and since 2020 the principles of biodynamics have also been followed. The goal of the winery is to obtain quality grapes to create authentic wines, which are the expression of the land from which they come. The company's wines can be purchased directly on site. The Wine Shop is open at the following times: Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00; Saturday from 09:00 to 16:00.

The company offers unique experiences related to good wine, but also to good food, in the name of sustainability and respect for nature, to allow everyone to appreciate the beauty of this place:

Wine tastings, including a walk in the vineyard and a guided tour of the cellar, from Monday to Saturday, at 10:30 and at 16:00.

Wine & Dine, a food and wine experience that begins with a panoramic aperitif in the herb garden, around our Ring of Fire. Afterwards a guided tour of the cellar and the dinner in the room overlooking the barrel cellar, with wine and food pairings, to experience a fascinating tasting journey "from the vineyard to the glass".
