The Historical Archive of Lugano preserves documentary collections, photographs, engravings, books and periodicals.
The documents include the papers produced by the Patriziato of Lugano and the municipal administration, as well as by other institutions or private individuals. Of particular interest is the fund of the Lugano photographer Vincenzo Vicari, composed of more than 200,000 pictures.
Accessibility Services
This cultural/tourist point of interest took part in the digital data mapping project on accessibility by Pro Infirmis. The project was carried out with the collaboration and support of Ticino Turismo, the four regional tourist organisations and the Department of Education, Culture and Sport.
