Wine & Art Relais Vallombrosa

Nestled in the heart of the Castelrotto vineyards, Wine & Art Relais Vallombrosa offers a unique experience in one of the most iconic wine-growing regions of Ticino. This charming estate is where, in 1908, Giovanni Rossi planted the first Merlot vines, setting the foundation for a winemaking legacy that continues to thrive today.

This historic winery, fully restored in 2004 by the Tamborini family, has successfully preserved its timeless charm while seamlessly blending tradition with modernity. The estate covers a total area of 10 hectares, more than 5 of which are dedicated to vineyard cultivation, creating a picturesque and landscape that contributes to the production of our wines.

Wines & Products
Under the Vallombrosa® label, the estate produces a select range of wines—reds, whites, and rosés—as well as sparkling wines, grappas, and local honey. They also grow polenta corn, a true gem of Ticino’s culinary tradition.

Guests are invited to taste the wines in the cozy, fire-lit tasting room, where they can also purchase bottles, exclusive gift sets, and seasonal offers from the estate’s shop.

Tours & Experiences
By appointment, guided tours of the winemaking cellars, just a few kilometers away from the estate, are available. This is a fantastic opportunity to discover the winemaking process and learn about the techniques that bring these exceptional wines to life.
