MASI Lugano presents the largest and most comprehensive retrospective to date devoted to the work of Ghanaian photographer James Barnor (Accra, 1929).
1 April 2022 will mark the start of the 50th season. An important anniversary worthy of great celebration.
MASI Lugano presents “After Nature. Swiss Photography in the 19th Century”.
The presents the main motifs of the series of signs created by the artist.
The photographic exhibition by Ettore Silini, born in 1978, from Besazio, shows incredible images of insects, taken using the technique of focus stacking, namely a combination of several photographs taken at different focus distances to achieve maximum depth of field.
The educational exhibition, realized in 2020 by Pro Natura Ticino on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the association and adapted by the “Museo cantonale di storia naturale” to its spaces, is conceived with playful supporting activities useful to discover, in an interactive way, the world of insects.
The 2021-2022 musical season organised by the Parish of S. Maria degli Angioli and the Diocese of Lugano, with the support of the Associazione Bernardino Luini, opens at the beginning of September.
