The astronomy observatory is located at the peak of Mount Lema at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level. Thanks to the altitude and the favourable extensive view, it represents a fantastic place to observe the stars. The observatory is mostly used by work groups for scientific research, but there are periodical evenings organized for the public and tourists. The observatory is easy to reach with the Mount Lema cableway. Moreover it is possible to stay in the nearby restaurant-hotel.
