Gandria through the Gaze of Fritz Meijer

Gandria

Free entry

On the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the artist's birth, a fond tribute is paid to the post-Impressionist painter Fritz Meijer, born in Zurich in 1900 and who lived in Gandria from 1935 until his death in 1969.

The exhibition is a site-specific installation consisting of an open-air exhibition through the alleys of Gandria, featuring reproductions of Meijer's works, positioned wherever possible to precisely correspond to the views that inspired them. It also includes a stopover in the neighboring village of Castello Valsolda (Italy).

Following its great success with residents and visitors, the exhibition is now being extended throughout the summer until September 30th.
