Hic Sunt Leones is both a project that addresses a political issue and a collection of postcards from unusual places in Switzerland.
The project explores the theme of borders and the relationship we can have with them. Between March 2022 and March 2023, Gabriele Spalluto photographed all 175 border crossings that had a service office.
The images question us about the symbolic and practical value of these places: anonymous on the one hand, laden with meaning on the other.
