The Occasio Ensemble: a young musical group driven by passion and sharing.

Founded in December 2022, the Occasio Ensemble is a musical project that brings together amateur musicians and music students under the guidance of Burapha Andrea Pedrolini – a graduate in composition and music theory from the Lugano Conservatory – and Marlène Garattini, clarinetist and deputy director of the Unione Filarmonica Gambarognese (UFG).

As its name suggests, the ensemble was created with the aim of offering a concrete opportunity to make music together: an educational and enjoyable experience, but above all one capable of conveying to the audience the authentic emotion of making music.

In this spirit, the Occasio Ensemble has set itself the goal of carving out a place for itself in the local cultural scene, contributing to the growth and dissemination of classical music in the area.
The next production will take place between Sottoceneri and Sopraceneri with two unmissable events: on 25 April at the Collegiata Sant'Antonio Abate in Locarno and on 26 April at the Chiesa dei Santi Giorgio e Andrea in Carona.

The repertoire will focus mainly on Haydn, and the conductor will be Burapha Andrea Pedrolini, composer and conductor.

The Ensemble will have the honour of playing with cellist Alessandro Parfitt, renowned for his personal sound, recognisable vibrato and strong stage presence, who will be the soloist and undisputed star of the production
