Lugano e-MTB Route – Stage 1: Ponte Tresa – Miglieglia

Welcome to Lugano! Transfer from Lugano station to Ponte Tresa on the FLP train.

On the mountain bike you proceed on asphalt towards Monte Mondini, then from Pura you continue into the forest along a dirt road followed by a single trail. From Curio you descend to Madonna del Piano crossing some charming villages where some vineyards are located. You climb again to Sessa alternating dirt roads and asphalt between woods and pastures. You continue towards Astano along a varied route, single trail, dirt, and asphalt, always in a wooded or pasture area. Between Beredino – La Costa is the gold mine, where advance booking is required for the visit. Astano offers the pond and an intriguing core. The road continues without major gradients to Novaggio, where you descend and then climb to Miglieglia, along a dirt road immersed in the forest. Miglieglia is a very characteristic village from which the cable car departs towards Monte Lema, which offers a 360° view that extends to Italy and the mountain range of the Valais, not to be missed!
