San Salvatore – Carabbia

Alternative itinerary to the classic direct connection with Carona, with aspects linked to nature and culture. Path that winds through the woods and downhill to Ciona and then continues towards the characteristic village of Carabbia.

Carabbia – Torello – Carona

This is the most exciting part of the itinerary, with a path that enters the woods with a slight upward slope as far as Torello where you will find the Church of S.Maria Assunta di Torello, which was originally part of the adjacent Augustinian monastery suppressed in 1389. An uphill dirt road accompanies the hiker as far as the Sanctuary of the Madonna d'Ongero from where, in a few minutes, you reach the picturesque Carona.

Carona – San Grato Park – Carona

Just a 15 minute walk from Carona there is the possibility to visit the scenic San Grato Park with its many attractions, all in all an extra hour's hike worth doing.
