The route can be divided into multiple stages as preferred and runs through the varied Lugano area, among woods and pastures, hills and mountains, from the lake to the rivers. Along the route, various e-MTB charging stations are ideally located. The goal is to optimize effort and time to maximize the pleasure of cycling in this magnificent area.
STAGE 1
A regional route designed specifically for e-MTB enthusiasts who want to limit the technical difficulty of the trails but take full advantage of the thrills that only MTB can offer. The route winds through the nature of the varied Lugano territory, offering spectacular views. Various e-MTB charging stations ensure optimization of effort and time.
From Miglieglia you reach the idyllic Maglio del Malcantone and through dirt roads and fields arrive at Piano di Caroggio. From Arosio, along asphalt and dirt roads, you pass through Alpe Agra and Cademario. Singletrail and dirt lead to lakeside Caslano and the Agno river mouth. Finally, climbing back up the Vedeggio you arrive in Rivera, where you can climb Monte Tamaro peak or rejuvenate at Splash&Spa.
From Rivera, you ascend Monte Ceneri on a circular Cross Country route and between asphalt and dirt roads reach the Monti di Medeglia. Hard surface and singletrail lead to Isone and Gola di Lago. At Alpe Davrosio, you follow a panoramic dirt and singletrail path to Alpe Piandanazzo, from where a dirt road leads to Capanna Monte Bar to enjoy the wonderful view.
From Capanna Monte Bar along panoramic, dirt, and asphalt roads, you arrive at Corticiasca and then pass through the Vallerani villages to Bogno. Dirt roads lead to San Lucio pass and then to Pairolo. After crossing the forest towards the panoramic Roveraccio, the route continues to Cadro where a steep dirt climb leads to Capanna dell’Alpe Bolla.
A forest trail leads to Brè village, ascending the panoramic summit and descending to Lugano, passing Ciani park, you follow the lake shore to Melide. You proceed to Alpe Vicania, Parco San Grato, and the village of Carona. Towards Ciona, you pick up a dirt road that accompanies you to Morcote, one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland, from where you can return to Lugano by boat.
