The Embankment Museum

This fascinating exhibition has been created by kindergarten and primary school children, whose classes have gotten acquainted with, studied and tried to imitate famous artists.

This fascinating exhibition has been created by kindergarten and primary school children, whose classes have gotten acquainted with, studied and tried to imitate famous artists. At the end of this activity, 228 works have been reproduced along 570 metres of the embankment wall. At the same time, artists belonging to the municipality have created 17 personalized works. The final product, enhanced by colour, light and poetry has modified the use of the road that has become an interesting alternative to other routes. The pictures reproduced on the wall have given rise to an "Open Air Museum"; for this occasion, the works have been collected in an information brochure so as to get people acquainted with the works of these mini-artists.

To best appreciate the exhibition one must start at the two extremities of the wall; one starts with the younger artists that converge towards the centre of the wall where the works of the older artists are represented. Please note that the section to the south (Ponte Nuovo) intentionally ends with graffiti, since we've imagined continuing the experience along the remaining metres of the wall, leaving space to the creativity and imagination of young graffiti artists.
